Today was a good day. Met Jamil for Brunch at Ted's Bulletin, a real American classic joint on Capital Hill that has lots of flare and vintage decor. You literally feel like you're inside a train. Matter of fact, I think they took the inside of a train and recreated that same look inside the restaurant. Very cool spot AND the food was great. I love any place that serves breakfast all day and liquored up milkshakes.
This was our first time hanging out and there's always some nervousness about "spending time" in the company of a new man. At least for me there is. If only first dates could go as well as today did. Great convo and a couple of laughs equals a good time and the makings of an incredible friendship. Or not. Who knows. Either way, we spent the afternoon walking around at Eastern Market. We bought pink lady and cameo apples and he bought some bread and fish to make for dinner. A man that cooks is a turn on. We had to try really hard not to but any jewelry or t-shirts: things we love. Afterwards we went to Starbucks for tea and coffee and more chit chat. Our topics of convo - music, relationships, sex, art, food, a possible next date, ex's, and shallow people. Good times.
